Company history

The enterprise „Wromak” is a family company of Mr. Kazimierz and Lucyna Maciejewscy. Mr. Kazimierz of the metal-worker profession stuck together his first aquarium in 1981. The lack of glass reservoirs in the Polish market resulted in that he started to manufacture them on a large scale and to deliver them to the nearby shops. In 1993, he established his own enterprise  P.P.H.U. (Industrial, Commercial and Service Enterprise) – production of aquariums and terrariums. The first premise wherein the aquaria were stuck became a small room in a cellar of a Wroclaw single-family house. Upon a time, Mr. Kazimierz employed his first employees while he himself got involved in distribution of aquariums on the area of Poland.

In 1991, the works at the Rajska street were built. The small production hall of surface area 100 m2 only was expanded  three times till the end of 1994.  During this period, the first machines for glass processing were bought also and the number of employees increased up to 20 persons. Soon, the name of “Wromak” was devised together with the characteristic logo with a small pallet. The Company started to supply the first foreign customers; the first country whereto aquariums were exported was Germany.

In 1996, Mrs. Lucyna joined her husband and, from that moment, has been involved in the Company accountancy.

In 2001, manufacture of the first illumination covers was commenced. The Company started to participate the zoological exhibitions Pet Fair in Lodz, acquiring subsequent customers both in Poland and abroad.

Another investment was the purchase of land at Piolunowa street in Wroclaw and construction of a new hall of surface area  600 m2, whereto the Company was moved in the middle of 2002. At that time, the son Przemyslaw joined his parents who has been responsible for the domestic and foreign sales from that instant.

In 2003, the Company was enlarged of a new storage hall and, a year later, of a subsequent one wherein aquariums for the purposes of foreign customers have been manufactured.  In the meantime, next machines for glass cutting and processing were bought, thus increasing the manufacturing capacity. In 2004, Wromak appeared on the international exhibition  Interzoo in Nurnberg, Germany.

The circle of our customers has increased very fast and the Company started to export to most European countries. In 2005, a new hall was constructed whereto the production of covers was transferred, and the manufacturing / storage surface area of the Company increased up to more than 4000 m2.

The year of 2006 means creation of the Company own joinery and commencement of production of cabinets. Till the end of 2007, it is planned to complete subsequent halls that will increase the storage surface area of the next 2000 m2.
